Community Peace Garden
The congregation is partnering with the community in transforming the lawnscape of the church yard into a welcoming space for gatherings and personal reflection. Events such as outdoor weddings, concerts and craft booths will draw people together. The quiet, natural setting provides a space to experience peaceful renewal in the heart of downtown Sandpoint.
Some planned elements include:
- A prayer labyrinth
- A Peace Pole with “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in 12 languages
- Round picnic tables
- A Little Free Library Box
- A gazebo donated by the Rotary Club of Sandpoint
- Native plants and fruit trees
- Memorial Garden with flowers and shrubs
